Lurch AG
Lurch AG is a leading German supplier of manual kitchen utensils
and houseware products specialising in innovative food preparation gadgets which offer that ‘special
solution’ of being both practical and helpful at the same time. Lurch also specialises in products for the
DRTV and retail markets, thus the German consumer has quickly become very aware of the Lurch
brand.
In 1996/7 Lurch launched a range of silicone baking moulds into
the German market place and through the media of TV and in-store cooking events they shook the traditional
bakeware market to its roots. Within a very short time they carved out a huge share of the
market.
This was followed
by the introduction of a vast number of kitchen gadgets, many of which were developed by Lurch itself with a strong
German ethic of quality, functionality and design. With the help of top creative designers, Lurch has made strong
bold strides in bringing to market innovative kitchen products that focus on usefulness and innovation - a Lurch
product must always provide “the special solution”. The revolutionary styles of their products have taken the tired
German houseware market by storm.
Lurch is a young company with a young team, which is not
frightened to embrace the challenges to meet the demands of the modern consumer both young and old and to
produce products with the ‘wow’ factor. The company is now expanding further by taking their products into
export markets and the beautifully crafted multi lingual packaging will appeal to consumers
worldwide.
Lurch AG was formed in 1995 by three young entrepreneurs,
Johannes Schneider, Matthias Schneider and Gerald Knetsch with just a small range of manual innovative kitchen
utensils for the preparation fresh food that made simple actions in the kitchen even easier.
In 2003, Lurch
moved to a purpose built new office and warehouse which is situated in Hildesheim, near Hannover. Now they have a
turnover in excess of 25.0 million Euros and employ just forty five people - not bad for a company born just
fifteen years ago.
